The Australian Romance Readers Conference opened with a lovely evening reception followed the next day by a slate of panels, keynotes, and signings.
Five out of six of the main speakers at the event were American (MaryJanice Davidson, Susan Grant, Sherrilyn Kenyon, Dianna Love and me!), and to my great pleasure I knew them all from prior [...]

Personally, I’m still recovering from the majesty of Marianne puking into her makeup bag at NYC Fashion Week (I told her she sounded like a very special episode of Ugly Betty and that her solution showed true calm in the face of crisis. I’m also making a mental note never to borrow her lipgloss again. [...]

I landed in Australia today. Over 10,000 miles/3 flights/1 spectacularly hideous-looking untouched meatloaf dinner later. Old friend and fellow author Susan Grant was on the flight. She was somewhere upfront on a reclining first class seat (She’s also a pilot. Perks, yo.) probably having grapes fed to her by a scantily clad twenty-something Australian boy.
I [...]

Back to reality. Cry! But I thought I’d share some pics from our Cozumel Mexico adventure. I’m kind of exhausted, so the pics will have to be worth a thousand words for now.
Our hotel, the Aura Wyndham, was awesome. I highly recommend it. The swim-up rooms were the coolest thing ever.
It was an [...]

Buenos Dias from sunny, warm, amazing Cozumel, Mexico where I have been since Thursday! It has been so nice here – great to get away from the freezing, rainy NYC weather and to sit on the beach in the sunshine eating chips and guac while sipping on strawberry margaritas! Yum!
Our hotel, the Aura Wyndham, is [...]

I’ve been meaning to post this for a while, but hadn’t gotten around to cropping the photos before now.
When Liz and I showed up in costume last summer at RWA, the biggest cause for alarm was the fact we were wearing thigh highs. One person even went so far as to say we’d be [...]

Marianne doesn’t keep photos and videos on her camera. She’s all insta-upload about it, and then she clears off the card. It’s so organized. I just leave them on. That’s why I have a 4 gig memory card. It’s also why I often forget what was ever on there–”Hey, wait a minute. Why does this look like [...]

Marianne issued yours truly a challenge over at her blog to post certain photos.
And I deliver. Oh, how I deliver.* We went to check out a Japanese department store and discovered that they had dedicated two entire floors to Loli fashion in all its forms. They specified no pictures allowed, [...]

So…we’ve got some pigeons. And…a crying child…and a strange anthropomorphic pearshaped thing that also seems to be very concerned about the whole situation. As am I.
Sweat. That’s…just really not that appetizing.
Speaking of appetizing, should we eat at The Pork Bar “Boo” or Octopus Ball?
Noa Cafe. It barely makes any sense…yet it’s [...]
